For my Personal Data Project, I chose to record activities and how healthy my meals were daily. My goal was to find a certain threshold to achieve for on a weekly basis for my personal health.

The data I collected for my personal data project was on my sleeping habits throughout the semester from about half way through September – November. I recorded the time I went to bed and the time I woke up everyday, allowing me to calculate the total hours I slept every night.

The topic for my data project is measuring my daily steps throughout the year. I carry my phone everywhere I go. I compiled the data using the health app with my phone that accurately measures how many steps you take when you are walking around with your phone on you.

For my topic I wanted to see how much trash I consume over 10 weeks (70 days). As for measurement, I measured how many 13 galloon trash bags I filled up over the course of the 10 weeks.

For my topic I decided to meditate almost every day and create quantitative data on how long I meditated each day, and create ordinal data on what my mood was on a 1-5 scale, and what my productivity was on a 1-5 scale.
