The data I collected for my personal data project was on my sleeping habits throughout the semester from about half way through September – November. I recorded the time I went to bed and the time I woke up everyday, allowing me to calculate the total hours I slept every night.

The topic for my data project is measuring my daily steps throughout the year. I carry my phone everywhere I go. I compiled the data using the health app with my phone that accurately measures how many steps you take when you are walking around with your phone on you.

For my topic I decided to meditate almost every day and create quantitative data on how long I meditated each day, and create ordinal data on what my mood was on a 1-5 scale, and what my productivity was on a 1-5 scale.

Towards the beginning of the semester, I decided that I wanted to purchase a HydoFlask. This was around the time that we had to choose our project topic for the class. For my project, I wanted to record how much water I consumed.
