For this photo essay, I wanted to encapsulate the library study culture at Washington State University. I have not seen many photos of the inside of the library, only the more famous icons like the dome and statue. As I did choose to include some of those familiar symbols, I wanted to bring another personal human aspect to the photos. I did this by practicing with different angles and working with light. The mood in the library was dismal, but I decided to run with it since this is what it is usually like in the library and I wanted to capture its true nature.
