The Community of Coffee

I chose to represent Roost Coffee and Market which is located in Downtown Pullman. I visited the coffee shop various times throughout the week giving the viewer a well rounded idea of what it feels like to visit the quaint coffee shop. When taking photos there was a scent of fresh coffee and sweet bread wafting through the air as customers lined out of the door. Friends and families sat at tables laughing and filling the establishment with their lively personalities. The baristas made drinks under the warm light while talking to customers about their day. They have a goal of keeping the atmosphere of the shop inviting and authentic. The local business provides the Pullman community a welcoming place to reside with friends while studying or a place to catch up. I chose to capture the business with a Canon camera using manual settings so I was able to adjust the exposure to my liking as the sunlight through the windows made it bright.
