WSU's Women's Center Offers Many Resources to students

Resources At The Women's Center

My photo journalism covers the women’s center located on WSU’s Pullman campus. With the theme of “look for the helpers” for the assignment, I felt that the women’s center fits perfectly into the theme of helpers because of all the resources the center offers students. The women’s center offers a number of different resources such as a food pantry, study areas, women amenities such as tampons, condoms and more. The center has several different areas offering students a place to relax, study, or just an area to be around other women for conversation. During my project I learned that many students that I worked with didn’t even know where the women’s center is located. The center is located on the ground floor of Wilson Short building. Next to the center is Rosarios Place which is a food pantry offering free items that include children’s supplies: food, clothing, and shoes. Rosarios Place also offers non -perishable foods for students in desperate need. When thinking of helpers for this project my attention was directed to the WSU women’s center because of all the helpful resources the center offers students.
