Photos and Writing by Jane Adams

Caitlyn in a broadcast journalism student here at WSU. Caitlyn is very passionate about broadcast and film, and spends most of her Saturdays broadcasting the WSU football games. Caitlyn enjoys broadcast journalism because it allows her to be hands on with what is going on in the world. She gets to be present in important events, and then relay that information to others. After graduation in May, Caitlyn wants to move to Los Angeles, CA and continue her experience in broadcast journalism. She wants to work in the sports field and is interested in football specifically.

Caitlyn in gaining broadcast journalism experience through her classes this semester, and is enjoyed having the opportunity to involve her friends and others.

Caitlyn uses many different materials and equipment while filming.

Caitlyn's cat Fred sometimes get in the way while she's trying to film.

Caitlyn's bag of equipment includes her camera, tripod, different lenses, and a mic.

Caitlyn uses iMovie to edit the videos she makes.

Caitlyn is currently filming and producing a video on a nonprofit called Cush it to the Limit.

This is an image of Caitlyn setting up her filming equipment.

Caitlyn explained to me that it has taken her a while to get used to filming and how to use the equipment.

It's important to Caitlyn to be very detailed while setting up the equipment to insure that the audio and video quality turns out good.

Caitlyn showed me some of the clips in a new video she is making.

Caitlyn is always very careful when setting up the equipment because it's expensive.
