Cougs Feeding Cougs

Photos and Writing by Alexis Tiedy

For my project, I wanted to pick something that has to do with my everyday life and struggle that I see. Being a college student I understand the struggle of being low on money and having a lot of bills to pay. Since I work at Hillside Dining Hall, I see lot of students who struggle with not having enough money for food. This brought to my attention a program that WSU offers called Cougs Feeding Cougs. This program allows students who have excess RDA money in their accounts the opportunity to donate that money to cougs in need. Students are allowed to donate up to $20 prior to the last six weeks of school, and any amount for the last six weeks of school. Students can go to the Cougs feeding Cougs website and sign up for assistance or donate to the fund. I want to document this process and show what an impact these simple gestures can do to struggling students in college and the type of food and services this program provides.
