Paradise Creek Brewery in Pullman Washington is a locally owned brewing company by Tom Hardy. Tom started his brewing company in 2010 after getting his cortication from Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago Illinois. Before Paradise Creek Brewery, Tom owned Old Post Office Wine Gallery located in Pullman, WA since 2001. But with his new found calling he changed the name and rebranded his company into Paradise Creek Brewery. Besides being a business man in Pullman, Tom was a previous student of Washington State University during the 1980’s, finishing with a degree in communication. He would end up working for WSU for 20 years.

Paradise Creek Brewery Company started as a 7-barrel brewer, before their new location on 505 SE Riverview Suite C now at a 15-barrel brewer. 15-barrel brewer is a very big step up, 1 barrel is 31 gallons, approximately 465 gallons is made in one batch.

Ethan scrapping the remaining grain from the Mashtun! They use the remaining grain to give to local farmers for their cattle.

This is what the grain looks like after the Mashtun process. In this mashing process starches are crushed into sugar for the fermentation. The mashtun has a false bottom allowing for the wort to be send to the kennel for the next process.

Matt is putting hop pelts into the kennel, just at the start of the boiling process. More and more companies are using hop pelts or extracts for example because it is easier.

Ethan, Head Brewer of Paradise Creek Brewery is checking the wort levels. A kettle makes 15 barrels of wort, 1 barrel is 31 gallons of wort, so approximately 465 gallons of wort is made in one batch.

After the wort process, it is put into these containers to pitch yeast into the wort. This is the process were yeast eat the sugar turning it into carbon dioxide and alochol. In other words once you pitch yeast into the wort then it creates beer.

Beer for Humans.

People come in of all ages to sit down and enjoy the brewery atmonsphere. Come in just to say Hi to the man named Tom or to come in and enjoy the simple taste of Paradise Creek Beer.
