Pullman's Finest

Photos and Writing by Cassandra Hummel

Pullman, Washington is a place that is full of unforgettable sights and experiences. By highlighting its’ top-notch features, I hope this shows that there is so much more in Pullman than anyone really knows. There are so many aspects about Pullman that I love, and I will be very sad to leave them when I graduate this upcoming May. From the tourist-y WSU signs to the best restaurants in town, there is not one place here that I’ll forget. Being in the middle of nowhere, it can be easy to think of Pullman as a place that is not worth visiting, but rest assured, anyone who skips out will forever regret it.

The Bill Chapman Palouse Trail is a popular route for any sort of activity, whether it be biking, running, or taking a long walk.

Porch Light Pizza is one of the hottest spots in town because of their custom menu and quick service. Sometimes I get free pizza because one of my roommates works there, and I just keep loving it more and more.

One of the best pictures one can get while in Pullman is with Butch, the fun and enthusiastic WSU mascot, in front of Martin Stadium.

The Pullman Walmart is a place I will miss when I graduate because I have relied on this store for almost everything within my 4 years here. I will never shop at Walmart at any other location in the world, except for this one.

The water tower that overlooks all of WSU is the most breath-taking spot there is, espcially when there is a clear view of the sunset over the rolling hills.

The sculptures on Stadium Way will always have one wondering, "What the heck is that?!"

The 15-ft tall "WSU" letters are hard to miss as one drives into Pullman.

A memory I will never forget is when the Cougs beat USC in Pullman this season and the entire stadium rushed the field. I had never done that in my college career and I am so grateful I was given the chance to.

The writing on the walls and leather stools makes The Coug the most interesting bar to visit while in town.

While walking up and down the mall when going to class, it is hard to miss the rolling hills of the Palouse. The WSU campus sits on top of a hill, so every view one gets while leaving campus is one that can be seen for miles.
