Behind the Scenes at WSU Basketball Games
Photos and Writing by Brandon Bjelke
When Cougar fans watch basketball games, they usually don’t pay much attention to anything other than what is happening on the court. But behind the scenes of every game are camera operators, staticians, broadcasters, and social media personnel working to present the action to viewers. A dozen different media outlets send photographers to document the event. Media room employees oversee the production of the television and in-stadium broadcasts. Security workers ensure everything runs smoothly and without incident.
All of this work that goes into the production of game day goes largely unnoticed and unappreciated. It is the purpose of this photo essay to represent those who make WSU basketball games possible.
