A Day in the Life of Veronica

Photos and Writing by Mahre Connor

Veronica Martin may seem like your typical hardworking college student, but the activities that consume her daily life may surprise you. Between her studies as an animal science major on a pre-veterinary track, a highly competitive internship at the Washington State Univeristy animal hospital, participating in undergraduate research, and being an active member in her sorority, she still manages to make time to feed one of her oringinal passions; music.

Coming to college, Veronica was met with the tough decision of narrowing down her passions when it came to deciding on her field to study. In the end, she chose to study animal science and pursue her passion for helping animals of all shapes and sizes, while still making room for singing and songwriting. Now, music acts as an escape from her day-to-day life, but those who know her well are lucky enough to experience her talent. This page shows how an "average college student" can have the capacity for multiple, true passions.

After a long and stressful day, Veronica enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She has been singing and writing songs from a young age.
