Slutovsky's Shots

Photos and Writing by Cole Jacobson and Sean Lutovsky (Photos)

With photography becoming more and more oversaturated with people having access to affordable cameras, the art of taking meaningful photos has become an art. The truly amazing part of photography is that it can provide a method of expression that helps someone cope with the difficult times they are dealing with. My bestfriend Sean Lutovsky has struggled to find his passion in college while bouncing around majors and even transferring schools.

This photo essay provides an in depth look into the hard work he has put into starting his photography business. It also highlights his work and how his passion for creating meaningful content is truly a "Labor of Love".

This football season I was lucky enough to be invited onto the field with Sean for pregame to see the game from his view. Seeing how excited he was really made me want to capture it in a photo.

Sean is the lead videographer for ZZU CRU and has found great friendships with the other members on the team. This pic is the entire crew involved with creating content for the basketball season.

Sean loves being outdoors and capturing nature. This photo was taken during a photoshoot he did at Palouse Falls,

This picture was taken on top of the library when the sun was setting. With the shot focusing on capturing the moment that Sean was pointing and shooting on his own camera.

The first big move for Sean's photography business was taking photos for graduation. Here he is shooting on top of the library.

This is one of my favorite photos he's taken for graduation this year. The photo uses silhouette lighting perfectly.

With an emphasis on capturing nature and its beauty, this picture capture the color of the water perfectly. The mountains and the green in the background provide excellent color for the photos.

Sunsets and sunrises are becoming a signature for Sean in his work. In this photo he took he was able to capture the sun setting from a very unique angle. The silhouette of the grass adds a unique visual element.

This photo taken on a hike near Mt. Rainier captures amazing lighting and contrast of between the different elements of nature. The snow and mist on the mountain contrast well with the green of the trees on the mountains in front of Rainier.

This final photo truly summarizes Sean's passion for photography. He captured a beautiful sunset on the docks near Port Orchard. It utilizes his signature use of silhouette and has the perfect implimentation of color. The orange from the sun meshes really well with the natural blue of the sky and the water. There are also some natural lines occuring in this photo that add another visual element.
