Murrow News 8

A labor of love is something people do purely for the pleasure of doing it and not expecting anything in return. Murrow News 8 is a student run nightly newscast that is anchored, directed, produced, written, and crewed by students in The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. They have been awarded Best Newscast by the Society of Professional Journalists, and a student Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Yes, these students are getting a lot of experiencing learning how a professional newscast is run, but they wouldn’t be putting in this much love and effort into it every day if it wasn’t a labor of love.
